Wednesday's Weekend Wishlist for September 20

Catch the last bits of the Diamondback's regular season
Well, it's Wednesday again.  The day best known for keeping your weekly calendar from being laterally symmetrical, and for making Meredith blush and giggle in 1st grade phonics when it was sounded out as Wed-Nes-Day and had a drawing of a bride and groom to emphasize the "wed" sound.

And because without further help, reading those tidbits would be literally the most interesting part of Wednesday, here's a roundup of things to do this weekend.  And by "weekend," I mean Thursday to Sunday…because we can't exclude Friday-eve or Sunday Funday from the mix!

Roundup of event listings.  If you have an event to advertise contact getthefunout@gmail.com

Plan ahead:

All the festivals you could hope to attend:  Phoenix Fall Festivals (but really it's around the state).  Oktoberfest, chili pepper festivals, corn mazes galore.

September 30 - 31st Annual Great Tucson Beer Fest.

October 4 - Desert Botanical Garden Phoenix Arts Collab Mixer:  Join young professionals, artists, and leaders from all industries who appreciate or participate in the arts. Learn about how young professionals groups are supporting arts in your community and find out how you can get involved with those who share your interests, or perhaps spark your next collaboration!  Register here.

October 15 - Craft Classic 5k:  "Treat yourself to a morning of indulgence with the ultimate pairing: Running and Craft Beer! The Craft Classic Half Marathon and 5K offers a unique and challenging Phoenix area course with sweeping views and a delicious craft beer reward at the finish line along the beautiful Avenue of the Fountains in Fountain Hills, AZ. Race giveaways for all participants include a commemorative event shirt and beer glass, special finisher’s medal, free race photos and a free beer from Huss Brewing Co."

Around the State

From AZCentral - 26 things to do this week.  A food festival at the Tonto Natural Bridge, a car show in Pinetop, a wine fest in Sedona, a Corvette show in Prescott, a trail run and beer competition (separate) in Tucson.  Buy a jet, you'll want to get around!
